Palu,voxnusantara.com– A man suspected of being mentally ill was bitten by a crocodile on Jalan Cumi-cumi, Palu City, Central Sulawesi, Sunday, October 17, 2021 yesterday. In fact, until now the identity of the victim is not known.

“The victim was found by a fisherman named Hamid (37), around 10 pm local time. Where, the witness was fishing in the sea and suddenly heard the sound of people shouting ‘sick’. Then the witness rowed his boat over to the sound in the dark,” said Palu Police Chief AKBP Bayu Indra Wiguno, S, IK, Monday (10/18/21).

The police chief explained that at that time, witness Hamid found the victim by the sea with a wound on his right hand. Hamid, he said, swiftly took the victim away from the sea water at that location, then the witness continued fishing and left the victim.

“This Monday morning, a resident named Sarbin contacted the local Bhabinkamtibmas. Sarbin informed that there was a man on the embankment with a wound condition. It is estimated that he was bitten by a crocodile, because there was a bite mark on his right arm,” explained the Police Chief.

“Currently, the victim, without an identity, is receiving treatment at the Anutapura Hospital in Palu. Until now, the identity of the man has not been known and judging from the attitude and behavior of the victim, it is estimated that he is a person with a mental disorder,” he concluded.***
